Post Traumatic Stress, Sexual Trauma & Childhood Abuse
Innovative Methods for Rapid Recovery
A training for psychologists, social workers, counselors and anyone who works in the field of wellness to improve lives of others.
Presented by Kendra Simpkins, MSW, LCSW
A transformational training that will instantaneously shift emotional states for patients with trauma.
Imagine sitting with a patient who is experiencing an emotional and physical reaction to trauma, and being able to address it in the moment, with confidence while directly causing a positive impact on them.
Rapid Resolution Therapy (RRT) is a trauma-informed method that is supported by neuroscience and evidence-based techniques. This innovative approach targets the limbic system where emotional responses are activated. Learn the latest cutting-edge research in neuroscience and how to utilize neuroplasticity to create new neural pathways for positive change and healing. RRT is a gentle, respectful, active and an integrative approach that works without subjecting individuals to needless pain and re-traumatization.
Having the capability to safely address trauma is essential for mental health and wellness professionals, as most patients have experienced some form of trauma. Whether having met with that individual once or many times, integrating RRT techniques results in emotional freedom and the ability to move ahead much more quickly and effectively in as little as one session!
In this training, you will:
Discuss the neurobiology of trauma and how it impacts the brain and body.
Analyze exposure therapy and why it is limited in resolving trauma on a deeper level.
Identify emotional triggers of the “fight or flight” system and how they cause the individual to relive the trauma.
Demonstrate how to identify conflicts in achieving desired results
Explore the power of communication to clear trauma gently, quickly and painlessly.
Apply gentle experiential methods to heal the psychological and physiological effects of trauma at its roots.
Discuss recent neuroscience discoveries and how to safely integrate traumatic memories through memory reconsolidation.
Examine techniques to resolve secondary effects of trauma such as guilt, shame, anger and resentment.
Utilize experiential processes that can be used to uplift and empower patients while connecting them to internal resources and strength.
